Where are you?
In September 2023- February 2024, I was in Seoul, South Korea, for professional development and to indulge my interest in Korean culture. This journey began with a profound fascination with Korean popular culture, including films, series, and music. Subsequently, my curiosity extended to the language, driven by a desire to comprehend the intricacies of Korean culture. I've observed a similar progression among many newcomers, where initial interest in Korean popular culture evolves into a deeper connection. The global popularity of Korean dramas, attributable to the Korean Wave or Hallyu, underscores the pervasive influence of South Korean culture. Currently, I am back in Sweden, continuing my pursuits.
Since I first started as an intern in the film industry, my commitment and motivation have led me to many fantastic projects and experiences. My career goal is to work on projects in Sweden, Western Europe, and North America. I am now seeking opportunities to expand my work to Eastern Europe, Australia, Africa, and Asia.
I work with projects ranging from low budget to high budget, encompassing short films, feature films, commercial productions, and serial productions. Whether you have a limited or ample budget for DIT services and equipment, I can adapt to provide suitable DIT equipment within your budget constraints.
As a DIT, it's essential for me to coordinate effectively with the Director of Photography, Director, and Post-production Manager to ensure smooth collaboration and alignment on project requirements.
Part of my responsibility as a DIT is to liaise with the camera department, script supervisors, and editors to ensure consistency and compatibility in recording formats, such as Apple ProRes 4444XQ or other formats like Sony Venice 2. It's crucial for both of us to adopt a 'GOOD-FAST-CHEAP' mindset to facilitate an efficient workflow.
When I first started my internship in my professional career as a DIT (Digital Imaging Technician), it was merely a passing mention. Collaborating closely with the cinematographer, I focused on managing the digital workflow of film production. The role of a DIT is relatively new, emerging alongside advancements in digital technology. Responsibilities can vary significantly from one production to another, often requiring a high level of technical expertise. I developed a passion for DIT during this time, and now I am proud to bring my refined skills as a DIT to the table.
